(FORT WORTH, Texas) – Dollamur Sport Surfaces (Dollamur) – the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of high-performance sport surfaces for wrestling, martial arts, gymnastics, cheerleading, and fitness – was selected and served as the Official Mat supplier to USA Wrestling’s new championship series, Final X.
During Final X, the top men’s and women’s freestyle wrestlers competed in a best-of-three series, earning spots on the U.S. Senior World roster and the opportunity to compete at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Oct. 20-28. The event was held over three weekends in three different cities: Lincoln, Neb., State College and Lehigh, Pa.
As the Official Mat of USA Wrestling, Dollamur provided the featured wrestling surface for the tournament, highlighted by its patented FLEXI-Connect® technology, a seamless and tapeless mat design that vastly reduces setup time and provides equal impact absorption across the entire surface.
Each year, the company provides wrestling competition mats for upwards of 50 events including The World Team Trials, World Cup and the US Open. For the next USA Wrestling event, the US Marine Corps Junior & Cadet National Championships in Fargo, N.D. on July 14-20, Dollamur will again be the main competition mat.
“We are proud of Dollamur’s ongoing partnership with USA Wrestling and the opportunity it affords us to grow the sport and be a part of prestigious wrestling events, such as Final X,” says Chuck Thompson, Vice President of Dollamur Wrestling Division. “It was an outstanding three weeks of wrestling and we look forward to next year’s event.”
